Hydrogen Peroxide on Fungus

If you’re a gardener then you probably know that hydrogen peroxide has various uses, and one of the most beneficial is the ability to fight fungal growth on plants.

H2O2 is great at killing off fungus while also being kind and promoting growth to your plants and shrubs.

If you spot any signs of fungi in your garden, spray an H2O2 solution on your plants in order to flush them clean of any bacteria and fungus.

What is Boxwood Blight?

Boxwood blight is a common fungal disease that can quickly ruin any garden.

Boxwood blight is caused by a pathogen and can affect other shade-loving plants that you may be harvesting in your garden.

If you think your garden is affected by boxwood blight, the symptoms that you need to look out for are circular lesions with dark brown edges on the leaves and black streaks on the stems.

As boxwood blight spreads, the plant's foliage turns dull and then finally falls off.

Boxwood blight is often confused with winter burn or Volutella blight; However, you can get your boxwood blight confirmed at a plant disease diagnostic clinic.

How to Get Rid of Boxwood Blight

Use 12% H2O2 in a pump sprayer and thoroughly coat the boxwood with the solution until liquid drips off the leaves. After, soak the soil around the root system and as far out as the furthest branch of the boxwood.

Do not water or allow rain on the plant for at least 24 hours!

Using our 12% H2O2 Solution and preventing your infected plant from getting drenched with water will kill the boxwood blight and save the specimens.

You will need to repeat the application every four weeks during the growing season for the first two years, and then the plant will finally be blight free.
